Intern for Fundraising Department


For over four decades, Pratt Area Community Council has been at the forefront in grassroots community development in Central Brooklyn. PACC builds and preserves affordable housing, educates and assists tenants, counsels home owners as well as prospective owners and assists merchants on Fulton street.

PACC  is seeking a motivated and dynamic intern to assist in the fundraising department at a minimum of two days a week. You are a college or graduate student with a flair for writing and strong communication skills. You will become familiar with the workings of a not for profit, learn how to write grants, participate in fundraising events as well as sit in on meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties including updating the fundraising calendar. 
  • Maintain donor list
  • Research into possible new funders
  • Write letters and short proposals

 

Requirements:

  • Flexible, and a team player
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel
  • Interest and flair for designing flyers and newsletters
  • Able to start immediately
